Programmable devices for social outdoor play

Scratch Nodes are programmable devices for children's group outdoor play. Each device is equipped with a variety of sensors and outputs that children can program to be used in any game they invent, using Scratch 3.0. Scratch Nodes were designed and built at the IDC Media Innovation Lab (miLAB) as a research platform for studying the ways technology can help encourage and enhance outdoor play.
